Shawn Mendes says that he and Camila Cabello aren’t dating, but actions speak louder than words. Just hours after the Stitches singer denied that he and Cabello were an item, the two were spotted holding hands. And, they even spent time together house hunting over the holiday weekend.
When a fan asked Mendes during a backstage Q&A on Saturday, July 6th if he and Cabello were dating, Mendes shook his head and said “no.” But, he and the Fifth Harmony alum attended the Red White and Bootsy July 4th party at Nobu together, and eyewitnesses say they appeared to be having a good time before they left holding hands.

“They were sitting with each other, facing each other and looked very intimate,” revealed one of the eyewitnesses.
Then on Sunday, July 7th, Mendes, Cabello, and a group of friends went house-hunting in West Hollywood, and again the pair were hand-in-hand. Later, they ditched their friends and had dinner alone together at a local restaurant.
After their meal, the duo walked down the street – holding hands once again – and cameras also caught Mendes wrapping his arms around Cabello as she smiled.
Cabello also gushed over Mendes on Instagram, writing that he “couldn’t be more amazing” and adding a red heart emoji to the caption of her Instagram Story while in the audience at his concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles the next day.
Mendes and Cabello just released their duet titled Señorita in late June and there is also a steamy music video to go along with the song. Just days before the song’s release, Us Weekly reported that Cabello and her boyfriend Matthew Hussey had split after dating for over a year. This is Mendes and Cabello’s second collaboration, as they teamed up in 2015 for the breakup anthem I Know What You Did Last Summer.
