It’s been just over 20 days since Raluka dropped the music video to her most-recent single “Tattoo“. This song was an English version of her previously released track “Du-ma Spre Noi”.

She has had a lengthy career to date; has worked with various different artists; and, has released various songs that we completely love. She’s one of our top Romanian female artists around at the moment.

Lucky for us, Raluka found some time to answer our questions about her new single and her future plans. We would like to thank her for this interview, and we can’t wait to see where her career is headed.

Hey, Raluka, how are you? What have you been up to recently?

Hello, I am very good. I have been working, together with my colleagues, on many projects concerning Quantum Music and on my new single that will be soon released.

Tattoo” has recently been released, what made you decide to do an English version of “Du-ma Spre Noi”?

In the past I had a lot of songs in English, having a wide fan base who doesn’t speak Romanian; so I decided to release an English version as well.

How did the song come about?

When I first listened to “Du-ma Spre Noi”, presented to me by Irina Rimes, I knew this song was for me.

What does the song mean to you?

Although the song is somehow sad, I always find that bit of happiness in tragedy and end up smiling. The song itself gives me a pure feeling of nostalgia.

Do you see the versions similarly or differently and why?

I see them both similar and differently, but the “Part C” of the song is completely different and has different lyrics giving them two different emotions.

What are your feelings towards the music video?

I came up with the script of the video and, in collaboration with Alex Ceausu, we gave birth to the concept “Escape from reality”.

What was it like to film?

I have collaborated with Alex Ceausu in the past which instantly made the work flow smoother and fun to be around.

How difficult was it to make two versions as opposed to one?

As hard as it seems, but when you really feel something and actually get to do what you really like, it’s the easiest job out there.

What promotion have you done for “Tattoo” and “Du-ma Spre Noi”?

I released the song on my official YouTube Channel and gave notice to all Radio stations and TV shows based in Romania.

Looking back over your career to date, what has been your favourite moments?

I do not have a particular moment that I can call favorite, my whole career is my favorite moment.

You’ve collaborated with a few different artists in the past, our favourite being Killa Fonic (twice – we love both “Dulce Otrava” and “Zbor“), should we expect more collaborations in the future?

I am really glad you loved the songs, Killa Fonic is a dear friend of mine, and probably in the future, we might collaborate again.

Who are your biggest inspirations and why?

My mom. I inherited my mother’s strength and power of will which have guided me till this day, and for which I am grateful.

What are your goals following the release of “Tattoo”?

My goal is to release music for people. Knowing that people like and listen to my music makes me complete.

Have you got anything you want to say to your fans?

Thank you for being there for me every step of the way. Stay tuned for my new single!
